When faced with a written order to respond to most people in one of two ways - anxiety or fear. Either we are afraid of long hours, the project will take, or we fear that the final result will be represented exactly our point.
Writing in my 20-plus-year career, I've found the key that helped me to approach writing tasks, not with anxiety or fear, but with positive emotions (or, if there is positive) at least neutral feelings. This key is the ability to type quickly. In Part 1 of this series, I give 3 Implementing large, slightly faster basics of writing.
Tip # 1 - Learn To Touch Type
Some people hate to leave just because it takes too long to write everything in your computer. If your work requires a large amount of text, you must take the time to learn properly on the type. The ability to "guy with the Speed of Thought" will open many doors, especially when the possibility of obtaining large amounts of data in written form, and quickly.
There are many local classes or software that can give you the correct technique. Take your time and go through the effort - even if it is a bit sore at first. "Two finger" typists can be fast, accurate touch typist in a relatively short time.
Tip 2 - Use the "Write" Tools
Non-professional writers often overlook the importance of good tools. Tools I am talking about keyboard, mouse, monitor and chair. There are so many styles of each of these available and it is worth the time and cost to buy the styles that fit best. Cramped keyboards and monitors blur destroy anyone. And slow you down. Just a few extra dollars, you can quite literally the best components available, custom selected by you, for you.
Tip # 3 - Create "Write" Environment
With access to your tools, the next step is to set up your writing away in a productive workplace. Among these are three important elements:
1st) Great Lighting
2nd All your notes and other materials in your area)
3.) Sturgeon
Good lighting and easily accessible for your reference material is quite simple. But "no distraction" idea is too often overlooked component. Here are some ideas to keep your job without distractions.
Few mention your typing station as closely as possible. Close all other windows and programs on the desktop - yes, even e-mail - it will only run your word processor. If possible, close the office door, and consider investing in a good selection of Noise-canceling headphones.
Personally, I listen to environmental information from audio CDs (thunderstorms, rain showers and ocean waves) penetrates when the ambient noise in my workplace. Completed in my headphones, I get 100% focus on the writing task before me.
Now I realize that I have not talked about the writing speed, and we want you in Part 2 and Part 3 of this series. But without question, congestion, a confused, or uncomfortable writing station prevents you from ever using the ideas I present the following installments. You must get these basics out of the way, then we can work with more advanced ideas.
I urge you to implement these ideas immediately rectify all that you can prevent from performing your best. If the environment is right, the letter is simple. Or at least easier.
